Lithium Iron Phosphate Emergency Driver

A lithium iron phosphate emergency driver is a power source that provides regulated backup power to LED lights during a blackout. These drivers monitor the power line and, if there is a disruption, switch over to battery power for 90 minutes. They are designed to be used with a dedicated LED light fixture and must comply with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards for emergency lighting.

Lithium iron phosphate batteries are a popular choice for backup power solutions because of their added safety features, high energy density, long lifespan, and improved stability over other lithium-ion technologies like Lithium Cobalt Oxide (LCO) and Lithium Manganese Oxide (LMO). They also offer a higher operating temperature range and are less prone to thermal runaway. Additionally, they are free of harmful chemicals and toxic heavy metals such as lead and cadmium, making them an environmentally friendly option for off-grid energy systems.

The batteries used in the 6.4v 1500mAh stick lithium iron phosphate battery pack are made of multiple 18650 LiFePO4 modules wired in parallel and series to create an array that delivers 48 volts of DC power. They are encased in an aluminum shell to protect the cells from accidental contact. All of our batteries are UL listed to NFPA 924, the Standard for Emergency Lighting and Power Equipment, which sets performance and testing requirements for emergency lighting systems.
